1-Ful Medames
Ful, the most popular snack in Egypt, is a paste made from pureed beans (fava) flavored with oil. often pocketed with pitta bread and sold as an inexpensive take-out sandwich.

2-Tamiya
Elsewhere, known as falafel, tamiya is made with pureed beans and parsley (instead of chickpeas, which are used in other parts of the Mediterranean). It is made into flat disks rather than round balls and is usually eaten as a salad sandwich.

3-Koshari
Famous Egyptian dishes, a mixture of rice, brown lentils and pasta with fried onions and spicy tomato sauce.

4- Shawarma
Shawarma is one of the delicious Egyptian dishes, it is a large cone of pressed lamb or chicken that is rotated vertically in front of a fiery grill. When the meat is ready, it is chopped and mixed in a pan with chopped tomatoes, onions and parsley, then rolled into a large flatbread disc and wrapped in foil to store away.

5- Kebab and Kofta
Pieces of lamb (kebab), cooked over a fire, and minced meat with spices, turned into sausage and roasted on a spit (kofta).

6- Muluhiya
This is mallow leaf soup. Green in color, has a thick viscous consistency.

7- Pigeons .
Pigeons (hammams) are raised throughout Egypt in conical pigeon towers. They are stuffed with seasoned rice or bulgur (Greek) before being fried or baked.

8- Baba Ghanug
Although many people think it was invented in Lebanon, baba ganoush is a dish you’ll soon find on Egyptian restaurant menus. It’s a cream of roasted eggplant, olive oil, garlic, sesame paste (tahini) and lemon, and has a very similar consistency to hummus, which is similar to hummus.

9- Mahshi
Another great dish for vegetarian travelers. It mainly consists of baked vegetables, usually peppers, zucchini or eggplants, stuffed with rice mixed with aromatic herbs (parsley, coriander…). It comes with a drink sauce.

10- Hawavshi
This is bread (something like pita bread), which is usually stuffed with minced meat, onions, and peppers.
