The ancient capital of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom period, Thebes, modern Luxor, will amaze you with its spectacular monuments and ancient Egyptian temples, their splendor and power, unlike all modern buildings. Images of the great pharaohs, priests and ancient people who calculated the location of distant stars, constellations and astronomical phenomena with unimaginable accuracy will come to life in your imagination. In those times, people deified the Sun and everyone worshiped him as a god, which is reflected in their architecture. The city is divided by the Nile River on the right eastern bank of the “living” with temples and palaces and the western bank of the “dead”, where the necropolis is located – the tombs of kings and queens. Many inscriptions on the walls of temples, tombs and various monuments tell about the exploits and glory of numerous ancient rulers, each of whom participated in the construction, supplementing the territory of the temples with obelisks, pylons, avenues, columns and statues.
